SOS Children’s Village Thrift Store Foundation (SOS BC) is a non-profit organization that provides family-based foster care for children and youth in our communities through a Village model. This includes support to caregivers, youth, and kids through residential services, program and support services, and wraparound care. Their Village consists of 5 homes that house children and their foster families. These homes provide a sense of community, connection and belonging, in a system where isolation is all too frequent.
The 180DC UBC team (the Team) analyzed the feasibility of the potential store as well as the opportunity cost of allocating resources to another store instead of fundraising and other projects.
